9 month project to devise and launch multiple revenue generating activities for Mount Edgcumbe park involving retail, catering, services and functions and events.

2008/9 Voluntary work in Sri Lanka

For 12 months under the umbrella of Rotary International I completed over 20 projects providing equipment, buildings, and facilities with young people mostly in schools. I also assisted with planning and growth of a number of small businesses.

- Assisting a software company to present and launch a new PC entertainment service for hotel bedrooms.

    1988/2003: Managing Director, The Firework Co.

Providing firework displays in UK and abroad. From start up the company grew to over £1m t/o employing a dozen permanent staff and over 50 casual and seasonal. Experiences encompassed: all aspects of managing/marketing an organisation; importing/exporting; event management; working closely within the leisure/tourism industries; sales promotions; press and public relations; exhibition planning and management. The Firework Co. achieved full I.I.P. recognition in 1996.

1986/88: Small business consulting including amongst many:- organic gardening, floristry, health food supplements, computer programming

1981/6: Founder/Owner/Manager of Mr Shine - a North London mobile car valet service.

 

 

 

1975/81: Marks & Spencer retail management (total 6 stores). From Trainee Manager (Plymouth) to Assistant Manager (Clapham Junction) London.

1971/75 Student employment - Estate agency, hotel bar, florist, supermarket, office cleaning, warehouseman, Sabbatical President of Student Union.
